Product Function Description:

EASY TO INSTALL: The 3" Pre-spaced Electric Floor Heating Mat can be cut & turned, flipped or rotated - providing warmth where needed. With Self-adhesive mesh on one side and double sided tape on the other, the mat adheres to the sub-floor and lays flat even when flipped. DO NOT CUT or shorten red heater wire. Heating wires MUST be embedded in a self-levelling underlayment, thinset or mortar.

UDG-4999 PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT: Offers a sleek, modern design with intuitive control, making it easy to install and easy to use. The 120 Volt, 15 amp thermostat includes an integrated Class A GFCI (ground fault protection). Features include: Dual sensing (Air/Floor), Power logging, Child lock, & more. The 7-Day Program Schedule provides maximum comfort, while reducing operating costs.

Heating Mat:

The re-enforcing mesh can be cut, turned, flipped, or in part removed, to accommodate any room size or shape. While the MESH can be cut, the heater wire MUST NOT be cut or shortened.
Elements are ETFE insulated and covered by a tough outer jacket, providing the ultimate dialectic and mechanical strength.
Heater wire is less than 5/32" thick, ensuring minimal effect to finished floor height.

UDG-4999 Programmable Thermostat:
The UDG Thermostat can be configured for control of Floor Temperature, Room Temperature, or Room Temperature with Floor Temperature Limiting - providing optimal comfort levels while ensuring floor coverings do not exceed recommended temperatures.
The UDG offers all the necessary functions to ensure easy installation and temperature control, for every floor type. Accurate and intelligent control reduces running costs and ensures personal comfort.

Monitor:
Monitor is designed to measure the heating cable’s continuity during installation.
If the heating cable is cut or damaged during installation the Monitor will immediately alert the installer by means of a loud alarm and red flashing light. We still recommend an ohms test is carried out before, during and after installation.

Floor Sensor:
The Floor Sensor is a reliable and accurate temperature sensing probe designed to measure floor temperatures when connected to a thermostat. Thermostats’ default setting is Dual Sensing (Air/Floor), meaning the floor sensor will need to be installed and connected.
The thermostat can be set to measure AIR only, but for optimal control and comfort we recommend installing the floor sensor and using the thermostats default ‘Dual Sensor’ setting.
Installs directly between heating wires for accurate temperature readings

Mesh Cutting Techniques – Cut & Rotate:

Heating wires must never touch or cross
Heating wire cannot be cut or shortened
Heating wires must never be closer than 2 ½ inches apart

The mesh between the wires may be cut but take great care not to cut or nick the wire itself.

Wire may also be removed from the mesh and laid out on the floor. Secure in position with pieces of 1'' wide duct tape, or hotmelt glue.
